Tour of Arlington Cemetery With a SPECIAL

Seen Stables at Fort Myer!

Every Sunday at 2:00 PM, from July 6 through September 28, 2008
Join us for a special treat as we do a tour through Arlington Cemetry,
our nation's most sacred resting place. We'll see a member of
the
Honor Guard standing watch at the Tomb of the Unknowns and other
sites
along the way
before venturing onto Fort Myer to get a special BEHIND THE SCENES look
at the U.S. Army's last horse unit.
The Caisson Unit at Fort Myer contains a stable of over two dozen
special horses that pull the caisson during funerals at Arlington
Cemetery. We'll get a special, behind the scenes tour that
includes a presentation by a member of the U.S. Army's elite Honor
Guard and a chance to meet and pet these beautiful horses that they
tend.
The tour will last about an hour and a half. This is a
walking
tour will cover a moderate amount of distance. As this is the
winter, be prepared for the cold!

$20 per person
Meet:
Inside the Visitors Center at Arlington Cemetery.
Parking
is available. Or you can take Metro's Blue Line to the
Arlington
Cemetery Stop.
Note:
Everyone must bring with them a vaild form of picture ID,
preferably a drivers license. A passport will do for visitors
who
are not a US citizen.
